HEARING HANDS, OF NEWPORT BEACH CALIFORNIA
is dedicated to supporting families with children who are Deaf or Hard of hearing without bias regaurding communication modes or methodology. We're a parent-driven, and professional organization providing familes with the resources, networks, and inromation to improve communication access and educational outcomes for their children. Our outreach activities (inculding H2H Family Camp), parents/professional collaboration, and advocacy efforts are focused on enabling children who are deaf and hard of hearing to reach their highest potential.
HEARING HANDS offers individuals with the respectful and non-judgemental knowledge of the deaf community. Each family has the unique opportunity to learn from and be supported by families who have children of all ages and who use wide range of communication opportunities within their family. Parents attend educational seminars that focus on the family; including sibling and family bond and a variety complex issues related to raising DHH children.
